heart and help those
in need.
The most important part of the evening came
after the play, when the long-awaited guest, St.
Nicholas, entered the room. The kids waited
for him impatiently and excitedly. Every one
of them received a present, and the smiles on
their faces as they were opening their presents
were priceless. St. Nicholas also spoke to the
children, reminding them of the importance of
being kind and helping others, which rounded
up the atmosphere perfectly.

he St. Nicholas’ Day celebration takes
place every 6 December, and it’s one
of the most popular traditions, particularly
for kids. As an introduction to the holiday
season, Aquachem organised a celebration
of St. Nicholas’ Day for the children and
families of its employees, with a special focus
on the youngest family members. The event
was filled with laughter and fun, and it was a
chance to create wonderful memories which
remind us of our togetherness year after year.
The “Šareni svijet” creative team performed
a play entitled “The Stork Has a Cold” (“Prehlađena roda”) which received full attention
of the children with its fun and educational
moments. The young ones enthusiastically
watched the adventures of the fun characters, they laughed and learned about important values, such as friendship and care
for others. Alongside the fun play, the kids
had the chance to participate in workshops
where they created ornaments and drawings
with holiday motifs.

The parents took advantage of this opportunity and relaxed, talked to one another, enjoyed the sounds of the holidays, and maybe
a drop or two of wine. The evening was filled
with laughter, happiness and presents, in the
true spirit of St. Nicholas’ Day. The event was
the perfect introduction to the holiday season, and all guests took home lovely memories of the time spent together.
Events like this one remind us of the value
of togetherness within the family and our
collective, as well as the significance of the
small, but important gesture of gift-giving.
The celebration of St. Nicholas’ Day is an
example for how a small spark can lead to
great moments of happiness and connection.
