around, someone is always singing along
the radio, and everything is easier when
people are communicating and having fun.
What are some key lessons you’ve
learned working at Aquachem?
There are no lessons to be learned at a job
like this. I think what matters is that you
behave like a human being, respect yourself and everyone else, treat the company
and your job just as you would your own
house and get everything done on time,
with enjoyment, love and pleasure. It’s best
if you can see your job as your hobby – if
you love it as a hobby, you’ll love it as a job.
When people see me and my guys having
fun at work, our atmosphere not unlike that
at a concert of Prljavo Kazalište at Arena,
they are quick to start up communication,
they have fun with us, wait for their products stress-free, all the while joking around
with us. If there’s a problem, we always
look for a better and higher quality solution, but everyone always does what they
have to do with zero issues. This approach
allows us to work happily and successfully.
This is the lesson I can say I’ve learned,
and I was able to put it in use only here at
my post as a warehouse manager.
Are there any interesting or
funny anecdotes from your time
at Aquachem that you’d like to
share with us?
I guess there are some that could be told...
We were at team building in Rizvan City 6
or 7 years ago, and we spent the first day
drinking to the sounds of accordion players in the company of the CEO of Magis
Triton, we were singing, requesting songs
from Slavonia, Zagorje, Dalmatia... We were
having lots of fun and I wanted to request a
song, but I couldn’t remember the singer’s
name or the name of the song. So I tried to
explain to the Istrian guys whose song I’d
like to request and I said: “Play the one by
that Istrian drunk...” All of our guys started
laughing, but the Istrian was so offended he
almost dropped his accordion. At that same
team building we were having fun late into
the night, playing music on a laptop. Once no
one had any ideas for which songs to play, I
asked the CEO to let me handle the laptop,
because I knew all about computers and

n September 2024, Aquachem organised
its traditional Family Day filled with activities planned for the employees and their families, where, as always, the youngest ones had
the most fun. More than 90 people, including
colleagues from Aquachem Serbia, met at a
casual and fun gathering, enjoying numerous
activities for both kids and adults.
While the adults enjoyed each other’s company and excellent food, the kids had plenty
of fun things to choose from. Bouncy castles,
face painting, archery and creative shops to
name a few. The little ones had fun painting
tote bags and hats, creating unique memories. They were especially excited about the
Brick-by-Brick corner where they became
architects and built their own worlds. The
highlight of the day was the interactive magic show where they could win animal shaped
balloons. They were also able to enjoy the
drawing corner and create their own works
of art, and dance the day away in the kids’
disco. Just like the adults, the little ones also
enjoyed delicious food made by three young
chefs: Dino, Antonio and Gordan.
The tables were full of juicy steaks, BBQ dishes, burgers, pasta specialties and lamb ribs,
while the cocktail masters did their thing at
the bar – mixing cocktails that ranged from
the strong to the refreshing ones. While the
kids had their fun, the parents hung out, relaxing and getting to know each other better.

Wi-Fi, I went to school for that, and I had no
idea why I was working at a warehouse and
not behind a computer screen... Ever since
then, he’s had the habit to remind me that I’m
more suited for an office, not a warehouse.
And that’s why he gave me an office within
the warehouse, so I can now use 100% of
my abilities, on a computer and managing
a warehouse... There are more funny anecdotes, like the time I crashed into a car with
some pallets, when I was sure that a 3-metre
tube could fit into a car (it could, but with
a busted windscreen). Lastly, three hours
before writing this text I busted the front left
light on a Duster while driving the forklift... It’s
a pandemonium, what can I say...
What do you do in your free
time? Do you have any hobbies
or activities that help you relax?
In my free time, I try to play some veterans
football or kick the ball with my friends over
good home-made drink gemišt. I also love
spending time with my family and friends, especially for a barbecue, or any type of activity
or work. That’s how I recharge my batteries, it
relaxes me and makes me happy.
