Aquachem, what their work responsibilities are, and how they

Can you please introduce
yourself, tell us about your
occupation and your function
at Aquachem?
My name is Matija Balug. I am an
occupational safety engineer by profession, and I work as a procurement
manager in Aquachem.
What are your main tasks,
and what do you like most
about your job?

My main tasks include inventory monitoring, communication with suppliers
and ordering the necessary materials.
As far as everyday tasks are concerned, I particularly like data analysis
and working in Excel sheets.
Is there a project or achievement at Aquachem that you
are particularly proud of?
My biggest pride is my professional
development in Aquachem. I started
seven years ago doing administrative
work, and thanks to hard work and
effort, I have advanced to a more demanding position of a procurement
manager which includes more responsibilities.
How would you describe
the working environment
at Aquachem? What do you
think is special about being a
part of the Aquachem team?
The atmosphere at work varies depending on the time of year. Summer
36
months are more challenging for the
entire team, but the overall atmosphere
is enjoyable and positive. I would especially point out the freedom related
to work which enables each employee
to perform his or her role in the team
in the best way possible. In my opinion,
that is the key to Aquachem’s continuous development and success.
What are some key lessons
you’ve learned working at
Aquachem?
I have learned that hard work and
effort never go unnoticed.
Are there any interesting or
funny anecdotes from your
time at Aquachem that you’d
like to share with us?
It was my first day in Aquachem and I
went into the office kitchen to meet the
colleagues and there were some alcoholic drinks there to celebrate a colleague’s birthday. The following day the
same thing – I enter, another celebration
is underway. The director saw the look
on my face and said laughing: “Don’t
think this happens every day here...”
What do you do in your free
time? Do you have any hobbies or activities that help
you relax?
I spend most of my free time with my
children. As far as hobbies go, I play
padel recreationally and veterans
football.
